According to him, there will be no space for religious bias or sentiments in his administration. COVID-19: UCH Has Lost 18 Persons, Treated 159 Patients – Medical Director

UCH Chief Medical Director, Professor Jesse Otegbayo, disclosed this on Friday. Speaking during the commissioning of a new isolation centre at the hospital, Otegbayo said the facility has treated patients with severe COVID-19 cases, adding that others have underlying health conditions. While being optimistic that the centre will go a long way in the onslaught against the pandemic, the CMD asked well-meaning Nigerians to emulate this gesture to reduce the burden of care on the government. MURIC CONDEMNS CHRISTIANISATION OF OYO TESCOM EXAMINATION

 14th August, 2020 By :  Ibrahim Agunbiade A Nigerian Islamic human rights association, the Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has accused the officials of the Oyo State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) of Christianising the CBT examination organised to screen applicants for teaching appointments in the state. MURIC alleged that Muslim candidates were made to answer questions on biblical stories. The allegation was contained in a press statement made available to pressmen on Friday, 14 th August, 2020 by the Director of MURIC, Professor Ishaq Akintola. Nigerians React As Kano Court Sentences Musician To Death

  Several Nigerians have reacted to the judgment of an Upper Sharia Court in Kano which on Monday sentenced a musician, Yahaya Sharif-Aminu, to death by hanging for blasphemy. Sharif-Aminu,22, was found guilty of blasphemy against Prophet Muhammad in a song he circulated via Whatsapp in March this year. He has 30 days to appeal the judgment. In the aftermath of the court’s decision, thousands of Nigerians trooped to social media to express their opinions on the judgment. Tescom Recruitment: Physically Challenged Persons To Get Automatic Employment

By  Ibrahim Agunbiade The Oyo State Government says it will give automatic employment to all physically challenged persons who meet the requirements in the ongoing recruitment exercise of the Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM). Mr Ayodele Adekanbi, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Persons Living with Disability, said this on Monday in Ibadan. Adekanbi spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria(NAN) ahead of the Computer Based Test due to take place on Tuesday at the University of Ibadan. MURIC DENIES LINK WITH TERRORIST GROUPS

San Louis Keita, a former intelligence chief in Mali, reportedly made the allegation on Friday, 7 th  August, 2020, at a conference held in Abidjan, the capital of Ivory Coast. Kayode Fayemi, governor of the state, had asked the health workers to call off their strike, saying “I do not want to be put in a situation where I have to invoke the ‘no work, no pay rule’ in Ekiti state.” But in a statement jointly signed by Kolawole Adeniyi and Toyese Adeleye, its chairman and secretary, respectively, the doctors said they embarked on the strike to save the primary and secondary health care in the state from total collapse.
