Osun State governor Adegboyega Oyetola is to turn the sod on Saturday 8th Of May  for the construction of a faith-based Fortress University in Iwo. Proposal for the Islamic university emerged in January 2020 after the Academic of Islamic Propagation convened its 25th anniversary.
