Oyo Muslim Community Tackles Makinde Over Silence On Ogbomoso Imamship Crisis, Others
The Muslim Community in Oyo State, has called on Governor Seyi Makinde,to immediately take pro -active measures to avert a possible breach of security in the state. The call was made in Ibadan on Tuesday in a statement signed by Alhaji Ishaq Kunle Sanni and Alhaji Murisiku Abidemi Siyanbade, Chairman and Secretary General, Muslim Community of Oyo State. The statement said the problems surrounding the Imamship issue in Ogbomoso and the religious crisis that happened on the day of the last Eid-el-Kabir festival are serious threats to the peace of Oyo State. “In fact, we are sitting on a keg of gunpowder,” the community said. They said Governor Makinde as the Chief Security Officer of the State cannot continue to remain indifferent to the two developments.
