No Amount of Intimidation, blackmailed can stop Akintola's Jihad.

The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has rebuked a yet to identified man, called Lateef Akande over his statement on Professor Ishaq Akintola.

In a filthy writeup titled: "Psychoanalysis of Ishaq Akintola, the Taliban." Lateef Akande accused  Professor Akintola over his Jihad activities in Nigeria and the world at large.

According to Akande. Professor Akintola is “an hypocrite, coward” who attacks some  Yoruba Christians and leave alone some Yoruba Christians to attack. 

Akande also claimed to be "once a member of MURIC, infact, one of the first recruits." He accused MURIC director of been "a divisive agent provocateur whose legacy is to promote and create religious violence in Yorubaland."

MURIC however fired back through the Ambassador of its Oyo State Chapter, Mallam Ibrahim Agunbiade  who issued a press statement on Sunday, 17th March 2024.

The Ambassador’s statement reads:

We are not in anyway miffed about public intimidation from anyone, especially from an anonymous, who paraded himself as former member of MURIC, who according to him was first recruited thirty years ago into MURIC.

“It is very clear that oppressors of Muslims are feeling the heat of MURIC’s advocacy. Our interventions are hitting them hard like solid rock thrown at their faces. They are feeling the heat and they think the only way to stop us is by hitting below the belt.

 Blackmail has always been the weapon of falsehood but it will not work with MURIC. Our skin is thick. We know your types whose work is to intimidating, coercing and insulting Muslim leaders and their followers at your will.

Your wrong accusations is not the first, and it cannot be the last.

Our Director, Professor Ishaq Akintola has being painted in bad colours in the past. They called him all sorts of names : fundamentalist, terrorist, fanatic, extremist, bigot, etc. He's been invited by Department of State Security (DSS), been summoned for questioning that has nothing to do with him. https://www.legit.ng/politics/1510076-dss-summons-prof-akintola-clash-gov-makinde/

They are well known to hypocritically call on the security agencies to arrest or threaten anyone who tries to defend their unfortunate victims. Fortunately, however, the security agencies are not fools. They know the difference between advocacy and violent acts. MURIC’s motto which is ‘Dialogue, No Violence’, speaks volumes.

What is the crime of a man who asks for the restoration of the fundamental human rights of Muslims in Nigeria?

Nigeria is a society of double standard. A Muslim is labelled a bigot and an extremist when he demands for the fundamental human rights of his fellow Muslims.

We advise Lateef Akande to stop chasing shadows, MURIC is a movement for justice and a force to reckon with. Our intellectual jihadist, Professor Ishaq Akintola will not be distracted.
