It was observed that about a few minutes to his burial, the 33° hot weather dramatically went down to a cool 26-27°.The hitherto hot weather briskly a cool breeze from the sky. This coolness endured even after his interment until overnight, until the next day. Allahu Akbar!

Palliatives: Sokoto residents feared dead in stampede at Wammako’s residence
Nine persons are feared dead and several others injured during a stampede that reportedly occurred at the residence of Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko during the distribution of Sallah palliatives.
However, there was no official confirmation from the relevant security agencies as they all kept mute on the development.
The incident was alleged to have occurred on Thursday’s night.
Among the dead is said to be a volunteer operative with the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) identified as Fatima Bala.
A colleague of the deceased operative who spoke on condition of anonymity said she was attached to the Gawon Nama office of the agency.
“We lost her while rescuing a small boy caught off in the stampede. She rescued the boy but eventually lost her life because the crowd was unprecedented,” the source said.
Similarly, another officer who confirmed the incident told our reporter that, the deceased was no more with them but had gone to the area to visit a friend.
“She was once our volunteer staff. Our investigation revealed that, she was in the area to visit a friend. Unfortunately she was among the people that lost their lives during the stampede,” he said.
Both the spokesmen of the Sokoto state’s commands of NSCDC and the police have declined comment on the matter.
Meanwhile, the main opposition party in the state, People Democratic Party (PDP) has called on the police to investigate the matter to forestall its future reoccurrence.
Sources at the Sokoto Specialist Hospital confirmed to our reporter that some of the victims were brought for treatment.

Fubara-Wike feud: Police read riot act to Rivers’ politicians
…warn ‘don’t plunge State into turmoil’
Police in Rivers on Sunday warned politicians in the state to seek lawful means to addressing grievances rather than engage in verbal attacks that can instigate violence.

Although Tunji Disu, the state Police Commissioner, Tunji Disu, refrained from directly mentioning the names of Wike and Fubara, the state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Grace Iringe Koko, quoted her boss as warning that the command would not fold its hands and watch the state erupt in crisis due to the utterances and actions of politicians.
The police in state also enjoined Rivers’ political class and members of the public to maintain peace at all times and abide by the laws of the land.
The Command spokesperson’s statement read, “The Rivers State Police Command is fully aware of the numerous political statements and sentiments that have been circulating within the state. “The Command will not stand idle and allow any individual or group to disrupt the existing peace in the state under any guise or pretext.
“The Rivers State Police Command will not hesitate to take decisive action against any person or group of persons found to be in violation of the laws and orders of the state. Therefore, we implore members of the public to maintain peace and abide by the laws of the land.
