TESCOM Recriutment: Oyo Releases Venue, Other Details For Teaching Applicants

Oyo State Government has announced the venue of the Computer Based Test (CBT) for teaching applicants in the state.

A statement on Saturday by the Chairman of Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), Pastor Akinade Alamu, said the venue of the examination would be the 1500 capacity University of Ibadan distance learning CBT centre, adding that the exercise will run for 10 days.

He said 91,600 applicants including 417 special candidates(disables) are to write the CBT starting on Tuesday, August 11.

The TESCOM boss said those who yet to rectify issues on their names or those that their names were not shortlisted should forget about the test as nothing could be done anymore.

Alamu said the test would include questions on current affairs, noting that the disables are not going to write CBT but “screened/interviewed with auto-employment since the applicants are few in number.”

He said the CBT invitation would be done via SMS or email, and the examination will run from 7am to 6pm everyday, excluding Sunday.
Alamu disclosed that the date has been scheduled by subjects positions, adding that those who have uploaded their documents successfully but did not receive CBT invitation should approach the TESCOM office and not CBT center.

  2. It's a pity that I'm not in the position to call Oyo State Government into order. Centralisation of the CBT exam. for TESCOM applicants is inappropriate considering the what the applicants will go through before getting to Ibadan. It's obvious that less than 10℅ of them will be employed considering the current status of the country. All various centers being used for Jamb are located in different parts of Oyo State.Does the government consider the cost of transport and risk of life from Igboho,Igbeti,Kishi,Shaki,Sepeteri,Iwere- ile,Igannan,Igangan,Ayete,Tapa,Tede,Otu,Ilero,Okeho,Ado-awaye,Igboora,Lanlate,Eruwa......,and so on..Somebody who may not be eventually employed continue spending more than #5000 on transport. I think this should be considered. It's not yet too late.Thanks.
